2008 Earth & Sky Exhibit Sea Breeze Art Gallery is celebrating Earth Day this year with a juried art exhibit beginning April 10 and continuing through May 17, 2008. All local visual artists are invited to submit up to 3 pieces of art. The submitted artwork must have an Earth Day theme. Artists are encouraged to use recycled materials in keeping with the Earth Day theme. Submission Dates: Friday Oct 24 5-8 pm & Sat Oct 25 12-5pm Exhibit Dates: Oct 30 - Nov 29, 2008 Celebration: Sunday, Nov 2, 2008 Details: Submissions will be juried by the Arturo Rivas, a local artist known for his metal sculpture. Artists can submit up to 3 pieces of art. There is a non-refundable entry fee of $10 per piece. Paperwork must be filled out before drop off. Application forms can be picked up at 255 S. Laurel, Ventura. Sea Breeze Art Gallery is also looking for installation artists to participate in an exterior exhibit of ofrendas (altars).
