Sea Breeze Art Gallery and The Laurel Gallery invites you to participate in its fifth annual Dia de los Muertos Juried Art Exhibit.
The artwork must have a “Dia de los Muertos” theme. Create a painting, sculpture, alter… in remembrance of someone you loved.
Dia de los Muertos is the time of year when the veil between the earthly world & the heavenly plane is thinnest & our departed loved ones are able to visit us. This is an event to celebrate their life.
Submit up to 3 pieces of art. Paintings/2D works must be dry and suitably framed and wired for hanging. 3D artwork such as sculpture if selected must have pedestal provided by artist. The non-refundable entry fee is $10 per entered piece with application. Cash or Checks are accepted.
Drop off your artwork on Friday, October 16 5- 8pm, or Saturday,
October 17 2- 5pm. Please have your forms filled out & attached to the back of your work. Calls for Artwork not accepted will be made on Sunday, October 18. Artwork not accepted can be picked up on Monday, October 19 12:30 – 3:30 pm, or by special arrangement.
The exhibit runs October 22 – November 7. The exhibit opening reception will be held on Monday November 2 from 5:00-10:00pm with a Dia de los Muertos Celebration.
After the run of the exhibit, artwork can be picked up on Sunday November 8 or Monday November9 12:30 – 3:30 pm , or by special arrangement. The Laurel Gallery will retain a 30% commission from any sold artwork.
